Creative Strategist / Marketer / KBBQ Connoisseur
As a first generation Korean-American raised between two cultures, I’ve always been passionate about bridging the gap between disparate people, communities, and ideas through storytelling.
This passion led me to pursue a career in Entertainment/Social/Tech where I initially started out as a professional number cruncher (thanks Econ degree!) and then forcefully worked my way into creative and strategic roles.
In early 2019, I joined TikTok (then a relatively unknown startup) as the first Creative Strategist in LA. During my tenure, I led creative strategy for major consumer and entertainment brands (e.g. Netflix, Chipotle, Apple, Nike, Adobe), partnered with the sales team to scale the US ads business to its first billion in revenue, and built TikTok’s award-winning creative consultancy, Creative Lab, as one of its founding members.
Currently, I’m working as the Creative Strategy Director at The FIFTH, a social creative agency that aims to redefine the way that brands approach social marketing.
